It’s time to rally behind your school, Mackay and the Whitsundays – $10,000 is up for grabs and the title of Star’s School of the Year 2026 is on the line!

The schools have nominated, and now it’s over to YOU! Cast your vote once a day and help your favourite school take home the win.

We’ll be broadcasting live from the Top 3 finalist schools during the final week Monday 7 September to Wednesday 9 September and you might even see the Star Car and Street Teamers rolling through the gates with epic giveaways and surprises.

There’s also a Tuckshop Takeover up for grabs, with the Star crew helping out behind the counter! Want your school to win it? Get creative on socials – think talent shows, giant handmade signs, or students spelling out huge messages on the school oval.
