Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have dropped the highly anticipated full trailer for James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman” film.
In this reimagined DC universe, Gunn brings a fresh take on the iconic superhero, blending epic action, fun, laughter, and heartfelt storytelling. His Superman is a hero defined by compassion and a belief in the innate goodness of humanity (and Krytonians).
The film explores Superman’s journey as he grapples with his Kryptonian heritage while staying true to the values instilled by his human upbringing. Guided by kindness in a world that often views it as outdated, this new take on the “Man of Steel” promises both depth and relevance.
The trailer offers glimpses of the challenges ahead, including the fallout from Superman’s decision to save lives and stop a war by crossing into a sovereign nation without permission, actions that come with serious consequences.
So, what would you do if you were Superman, would you stop all wars?
The star-studded cast includes David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.
“Superman” is set to premiere worldwide beginning July 9, 2025, with its U.S. release slated for July 11.
