The trailer gives us a taste of the grandeur and scale we can expect from these episodes. There’s a showdown of epic proportions as The Doctor faces off against the mysterious villain played by Neil Patrick Harris. The role is held under close guard but it’s rumoured to be a fresh take on The Celestial Toymaker from the original series starring William Hartnell as the first Doctor.
But Why has Tennant’s “face” returned? It’s a mystery that’s sure to keep us on the edge of our seats. Meanwhile, it delves deep into Donna’s return and the resurgence of her past adventures with The Doctor that she was forced to forget. Make it November already!!
At the very end of the trailer, we get a glimpse into the future of the franchise as we see the face of what will be The Fifteenth Doctor, portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa and taking the helm of the TARDIS, accompanied by Millie Gibson as the new companion, Ruby Sunday. Gatwa’s brief appearance in the trailer promises a thrilling new era for “Doctor Who.”
The three 60th-anniversary specials of “Doctor Who” are set to grace our screens this November on the BBC in the UK and will be available on Disney+ for fans around the world.
