The entertainment world is mourning the loss of former Disney star Carla Jeffery, who has died at the age of 33.
Best recognised globally for her beloved role as Bree in the hit Disney Zombies franchise, Jeffery’s passing was confirmed on Tuesday by her representatives at Alexanders Talent Management. In an emotional Instagram post, the agency paid tribute to her “infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried.” A cause of death has not yet been publicly shared.
Jeffery became a familiar face for a generation of young viewers, starring alongside Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly in the original 2018 Zombies film, its sequels, and the 2024 animated series. However, her impact extended far beyond the screen.

While Disney fans will always remember her as Bree, Jeffery’s acting resume featured a diverse range of roles. She showcased her comedic timing in acclaimed shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and the true-crime satire American Vandal, as well as appearing in the police drama Southland.
