Trespasser disturbed, West Mackay

At about 4.30am this morning (Thursday, August 13) an intruder entered a building on George Street, West Mackay through an open door.

They were observed to walk inside and stand in a doorway, inspecting the room before realising that they had been seen.

The intruder has then ran out of the building via the open door, jump a nearby fence and run away from the area on George Street.

The intruder is described as being a man of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 170 centimetres tall, wearing a black and grey hooded jumper with the hood pulled over their head.

The intruder was also wearing an orange drawstring coloured backpack.

Nothing was stolen.

Anyone who has information about this matter is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.
