Whitsunday Council is preparing to improve safety of the Shute Harbour Road during the wet season.
Work has begun from the Hamilton Plains end and will proceed in 2km increments – anticipated to be finished by the end of the month.
The ocuncil will be verge grading – to improve stormwater run off and reduce ponding when it rains.

The works will create minor delays between the hours of 6am to 2.30 pm until June 30.
