Investigations are ongoing into an alleged assault which left a man unconscious in Mackay’s CBD.
The victim was found by members of the public after 3.00am on Sunday morning.
Police say he had been attempting to use an E-scooter, when an unknown man approached him and quizzed him on how it was used.
The man allegedly put the victim in a choke-hold and threw him to the pavement.
He then allegedly struck the victim’s head on the ground until he lost consciousness.
Members of the public found the man and took him to the police station on Sydney Street, where he was treated by paramedics.
