Police will prepare a report for the coroner following a deadly aircraft crash west of Mackay.
Multiple emergency services crews were called to the scene off the Peak Downs Highway near Nebo Creek following reports of an aircraft crash around 6pm yesterday.
The accident involved a gyrocopter, with the 47-year-old male pilot killed in the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
