A man has died after he was ran over ride-on lawnmower incident in the Whitsundays last week.
Paramedics responded to reports a ride on lawnmower had rolled down an embankment off Orchid Rd at Cannon Valley landing on top of the man on Wednesday, May 14.
Queensland Fire Department crews arrived on scene at 1.09pm to help free the man from below the lawnmower.
Police confirmed on Monday the 56-year-old Proserpine man tragically succumbed to his injuries in the Townsville Hospital on Thursday, May 15.
Inspector Glenn Cameron telling News Corp police were assisting Workplace Health and Safety Queensland with preparing a report for the coroner.
Paramedics had initially assessed the man for potential spinal, wrist, and pelvic injuries and he was taken to Proserpine Hospital before being taken to Townsville Hospital where he sadly died his injuries.
