A 39 year old Mackay man has been charged over a fatal traffic crash at Blacks Beach.
Police will allege a Toyota Hilux collided with a 83 year old female pedestrian on the afternoon of January 16, 2026.
Paramedics rushed to Blacks Beach Road after the call came through around 5pm.

The woman sadly died days later at Mackay Base Hospital on January 20.
The Rural View man has since been charged with one count of careless driving causing death – and will face court in March.
