An 18-year-old man has died after his vehicle rolled at Mount Martin.
Around 6.30am yesterday, police and emergency services were called to a crash on the Mount Martin Gap Road after a vehicle left the roadway and rolled a number of times.
The 18-year-old driver sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
He has become the fifth teenager killed in crashes in our region in the past month.
It follows the death of an 18-year-old man at Moranbah last Friday and a fatal crash on the Mackay Ring Road on July 18 that claimed the lives of three friends all aged 19.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of this latest tragedy.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
Local police are pleaded with the community to drive safe and remember the fatal five.
