A home break-in on Collins Court at Eimeo, has led to a car theft.
Police say an intruder entered the home some time between 7.00pm and midnight on Monday, and found car keys left on the kitchen bench.
The alleged offender then stole a white 2007 Subaru Impreza hatchback, with the registration number 393 EG9, which was parked in the driveway.
At about 12:53am on Tuesday morning, the stolen car was seen by a member of the public in Beaconsfield and the sighting was reported to police.
Police made contact with the vehicle owner and confirmed the theft.
Anyone who might have information about either the current location of the stolen car or the offence itself is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.
Police continue to urge residents to store their car keys in secure and out of sight locations within the home (especially at night).
