A 48-year-old Mount Pleasant man has been arrested after being caught driving at allegedly twice the legal limit.
Police intercepted his vehicle around 5:45 Saturday morning on the Mackay Bucasia Road in Rural View.
Following the the roadside breath test he was taken to the Mackay Police Station for further testing.

It’s alleged his breath alcohol concentration was confirmed as being .171%.
He’s been charged with driving while under the influence of liquor and will appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on March 22.
