Star is helping the Mackay Women’s Services to deliver some cheer to families in need with our Christmas Hamper Drive!

The Mackay Women’s Services do some amazing work in our community, helping families in need. The centre helps those in our community who may be experiencing or close to experiencing homelessness and domestic violence and provide assistance and counselling to those who need it most in our community.

With the increasing cost of living, a lot of people in our community will struggle to put anything on the table for their kids this Christmas. Which is why we are asking businesses, schools and individuals to donate hampers to the Mackay Women’s Services.

This year we would love to fill the hampers with Christmassy non-perishable food items and vouchers. Vouchers can be for food, fuel or gifts for families.

Examples of non-perishables for the hamper include but are not limited to: 

• Long Life Milk
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• 2 Min Noodles
• Biscuits
• Christmas Bon Bons
• Custard
• Jelly
• Pudding or Cake
• Tin Fruit
• Lollies
• Crisps
• Tea and Sugar
• Tinned Veggies 

You can drop off any hampers directly to our station at 37 Sydney Street or to the Mackay Womens Services at 418A Shakespeare Street Mackay.
