A fuel tanker has crashed on the Peak Downs Highway west of Mackay cutting off traffic.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before the Eton Range, at 2.50pm yesterday.
An exclusion zone was set up, with firefighters rescuing the driver from the wreckage.

He was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
According to Transport and Main Roads the highway is still closed this morning, and motorists are urged to use another route.
