Aussie swimmer Meg Harris has won big in the World Aquatic Championships in Singapore.
The 23 year old swimmer from Mackay stormed her way to gold, taking home the title for the women’s 50 metre freestyle event with a time of 24.02 seconds.
China’s Qingfeng Wu and Yujie Cheng took home the other podium positions.

Harris began her career in the water as a junior – enrolling in surf lifesaving at Eimeo Beach when she was younger.
She claimed her first gold in Tokyo as a member of the Australian 4 x 100m in 2021.
The swimmer told the media it was her ‘dream’ to win in Singapore.
